Here’s a self-care checklist designed to support the healing and well-being of Black women. You can use this as a daily or weekly guide, and feel free to personalize it to fit your needs.

Mind

  • Practice mindfulness or meditation for 5-10 minutes
  • Write in a journal (thoughts, gratitude, or affirmations)
  • Read something inspiring or uplifting
  • Take a break from social media

Body

  • Drink enough water throughout the day
  • Eat nourishing meals and snacks
  • Move your body (walk, stretch, dance, or exercise)
  • Get enough rest and sleep

Spirit

  • Say or write positive affirmations
  • Connect with your faith or spiritual practice
  • Spend time in nature or outdoors
  • Listen to music that uplifts your spirit

Community

  • Reach out to a friend or loved one
  • Attend a support group or healing circle
  • Set healthy boundaries with others
  • Ask for help if you need it

Joy

  • Do something creative (draw, paint, sing, write)
  • Watch or listen to something that makes you laugh
  • Treat yourself to something you enjoy
  • Celebrate a small win or accomplishment
